Kids training.

Kids speed, strength, and fitness

Strength training not only offers many advantages over other types of exercise; it also appeals to children’s activity preference to alternate brief bouts of high-effort movement with longer periods of rest/recovery. Strength training also provides visual reinforcement, because young exercisers can easily see how much weight they are lifting and how much progress they have made. One of the best features of youth strength training is the success rate that overweight boys and girls experience and extra athletic edge they acquire! Classes are 45 minutes!

  • A woman doing cardiovascular exercise by running.

Aerobic exercise (also known as cardio) is physical exercise of relatively low intensity that depends primarily on the aerobic energy-generating process. Aerobic literally means "living in air", and refers to the use of oxygen to adequately meet energy demands during exercise via aerobic metabolism. With you, we will do exercises such as walking, running, cycling, step, slide, power board, low impact aerobics, and boxing.

  • A man building muscle strength by lifting weights.

    Strength Training

Strength training is the use of resistance to muscular contraction to build the strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of skeletal muscles. There are many different methods of strength training, the most common being the use of gravity or elastic/hydraulic forces to oppose muscle contraction. We will train with you making use of tools like free weights, machines, manual resistance, rubber bands, and tubing.

  • A woman training her core with a medicine ball.

    Core Fitness

Core Fitness is fitness training that provides strength and conditioning exercises to support how you move, work and play every day. This training method utilizes functional movement patterns for a complete fitness program, addressing movement efficiency, balance, flexibility, strength, coordination, speed, power and endurance. In essence, core training is an intelligent training system that corrects imbalances and strengthens and stabilizes weak muscles from the inside out.

  • A man swinging a golf club with improved performance after fitness training.

    Sport Specific Training

Step up your game performance in sports like golf, tennis, baseball, hockey, figure skating and many other adult and teen sports. To improve athletic performance, general strength exercises should be used in the initial stages to build a base. The goal of these movements is to stimulate and strengthen the same muscles involved in the sports skill. Once a strength base is in place, exercises that are truly specialized (sport-specific) can be incorporated to zero in on targeted weaknesses involved in the sports skill or to help enhance the transformation of general strength into specific strength. In this way, maximal strength is developed initially and then used to enhance explosive strength that can be incorporated into the sport action.
